How to save public TikTok videos as MP4
A straightforward, phone-first process for public links. No app installation is required; please download only media you are allowed to save.
The 4-step method

Copy the TikTok video link
Open Share in the TikTok app and choose Copy Link. Desktop URLs and TikTok short links work too.

Paste the link into TokSave
Paste the copied public link into the downloader. On supported phones, the Paste control can read your clipboard.

Use the download action. On Android, check Files → Downloads. If Gallery does not show it, tap Open video to save it manually.
Quality and compatibility
TokSave prioritizes playback that works on phones. Prepared MP4s use broadly compatible H.264 video, AAC audio, and fast-start metadata. It does not upscale a lower-resolution source to call it HD.
- Normal quality: a ready-now phone-compatible MP4.
- High quality or HD Download: a distinct prepared file, labelled HD only when the source qualifies.
- MP3: shown only when audio is available for that public link.
Common questions
Why can a public link fail?
Private, deleted, region-restricted, or temporarily throttled videos may be unavailable. Wait a moment and retry a temporary provider error.
Does the file always appear in Gallery?
No. Gallery indexing is controlled by your browser and phone. The Files or Downloads folder is the reliable place to check first.
How long are files retained?
TokSave keeps processed media temporarily for faster repeat downloads, then deletes it automatically within 24 hours.
